Five of the best Comedies on Netflix

Billy Madison,

Classic comedy that starred Adam Sandler when he was actually funny, if you haven’t seen this film you need to see it and if you have seen it, you should see it again.

Basically it is about a spoiled kid all grown up (Adam Sandler) he has never had to work a day in his life and only passed high school because his father paid off the principle. Well now the father does not feel he has matured enough to take over his father’s company when he dies, so Billy Madison aka Adam Sandler convinces his father to give him a chance. He decides to go back to elementary school and prove that he could pass those passes again, this time on his own.

Running Wilde,

If you haven’t seen the TV show Running Wilde, you definitely need to test it out. Its plot involves an eccentric billionaire who is trying to prove to his old girlfriend (who is now an eco friendly hippie) that he has changed and is not self involved anymore. She finds out that he is still very shallow and decides to make it her duty to change him, if you have ever seen arrested development it has a lot of that same feel too it.

Tucker and Dale vs. Evil

This is a great movie that im sure many of you have not seen, it seems like a horror movie from the title but is really far from it. The plot surrounds a group of overdramatic teenagers that decide to go on a campout, while on the campout they decide to tell scary stories which get them spooked up. Tucker and Dale are a couple of ignorant hillbillies that wouldn’t hurt a fly, they try helping the teenagers many times which always ends in some tragic comedic death of one of the group. It really is a great dark comedy and is worth watching.

Kick-Ass

Like the above film mixes horror and comedy, Kick Ass basically creates a rated R version of a Superhero Movie. This Superhero movie involves blood, guts but is still a misunderstood comedy. The plot surrounds a teenage boy who has an almost obsessive passion for superheroes. He decides to ask the ultimate question, why has no one dressed up and tried to be a real superhero? Well he decides to try it out and as it turns out it’s a lot harder than he thinks.

Blue Mountain State

If you have seen or are a fan of any of the movies I have described thus far, Blue Mountain State is probably a must see for you. The show is basically about a college where the stereotypes of the students, football and partying are taken to the extreme. The plot circles around a football team filled with huge personalities who are on top of the school (if they are winning) dealing with any obstacles that might come between them and a championship. If you are in college or like movies with the college immaturity vibe, this is for you.
